The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey to Host 5 National Recording Artists in Celebration of 5th Year in Business

Londonderry Twp., PA: The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey announced today that, in celebration of their fifth year in business, they will host five national recording artists over 2 concerts.

On July, 22, 2017, the Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey’s annual Straws & Stripes military festival and release party, which celebrates the release of its strawberry wine, craft beer and hard cider, will be headlined by legendary artist Lee Greenwood and country artist Phil Vassar. The show will close with a fireworks display and military tribute to the armed forces, with portions of proceeds going to a local veterans’ charity assisting soldiers with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other needs.

On August 26, 2017, the Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey will host its annual “World Famous Merlot & Pumpkin Beer Release Party.” Last year’s event featured headliner Everclear, while this year’s event will showcase national recording artists Blues Traveler, the Gin Blossoms and the Spin Doctors as the winery and brewery celebrates the release of its new vintage of Merlot and Flash Gourd’n pumpkin ale.

A special ticketing package is available immediately in celebration of the organization’s fifth anniversary, where customers can purchase tickets to both concerts for just $50 at www.VineyardAtHershey.com.

Part of The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey’s operational plans for 2017 include the canning of its craft beer and hard cider lineup and taking advantage of provisions in the recent privatization legislation which now allow for multiple beverage stations across the property to expedite beverage lines. Special corporate tents and unique VIP and tourism packages are also available for both concerts.

A press conference was held to announce the concerts today at the winery and brewery’s production center, where remarks were made by “Merlot Mike,” Partner in The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey, Michael Smith, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and Douglas Rydbom, CEO of Premiere #1 Limousine.

“We are so excited to partner with these nationally renowned artists and to bring them to The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey to celebrate the release of PA Preferred agricultural products,” said Merlot Mike Wilson, Partner in The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey. “To be able to attract visitors to Dauphin County and to visit the area and see what we are building here, it’s really special to all of us at The Vineyard & Brewery at Hershey. Never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that we would be able to do this. We are just so thankful for the community that has built us and as long as people keep enjoying what we are doing, we will continue to try and take risks and offer unique ways to celebrate Pennsylvania agriculture. It has been wonderful partnering with American Music Theatre, Keystone Events, Premiere #1 Limousine and Members 1st Federal Credit Union to make this happen. The Hershey Harrisburg region has so much to offer and we are thrilled to be a part of showcasing that,” Wilson concluded.
